WHICH SERVICE DO YOU NEED?
Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment Valuation
CGE is the number one company for FF&E services for new car Dealerships in the Country.
Our valuation is based on “Fair Market Value In-Continuous-Use”.
We work for both the buyer and the seller. We work with the owners, brokers, accountants, and attorneys. Our clients include Auto Nation, Group One, Sonic, other smaller auto groups, and individual owners.
Our format is an itemized Excel spreadsheet inclusive of all the FF&E. Ed will create this spreadsheet via an in-person walkthrough of the entire facility. The report will include location within the facilities, item number, description, make, model or capacity, quantity, condition, value, and extended value.
Our customers use the FF&E report to ensure that the Dealership assets are accurately inventoried and valued. The buyer uses our detailed report as their new depreciation schedule and in some cases as proof of collateral for initial financing.

Our fee normally falls between 1.25% and 1.5% of the total appraised value of the assets. Our minimum fee is $5000 for FF&E inventory and valuation. Travel expenses are additional.
Parts Department Inventory
A CGE inventory is completed with accuracy and attention to detail by our teams of inventory specialists. Oversight is provided by a seasoned CGE inventory supervisor. Our supervisors have decades of automotive parts inventory experience.

We start by running the pre-inventory reports such as an extended value report, bins in use, value by source, etc. This establishes our starting point. We then print the count sheets and divide them into manageable dispatches. We also create a schematic of the parts department which we use to organize the dispatches. We control every dispatch through the count and key entry process. Once the initial count and key entry are complete, we run the plus-minus variance report. Then we revisit every part number on that report. This is our opportunity to catch any count or key entry errors. That report is run as many times as is necessary for an accurate and complete inventory. Finally, we run the extended value again, the Work In Progress (WIP) report, inventory all the dirty cores, and verify the credits and debits of the parts department. Then we create our final reconciliation sheet for comparison against the general ledger.

We are experienced in all data management systems currently being used in the automotive industry.

Our pricing is cost-plus and dependent on the size and condition of the parts department, usually costing 1.5% to 2.5% of the total inventory value. Out-of-state inventories and inventories that require more than a day's work incur additional costs. Our minimum is $3500 for inventories in the state of Texas and $4000 for out-of-state inventories that require a single day of work.
